Meet Sammy's Friends

Rosie, Otis and Pip are here to remind us that everyone has their own way of seeing, moving, learning and belonging.

Rosie

Rosie The Rabbit

I’m a rabbit with a big heart, an even bigger voice and a love for life’s little adventures.

  • I use a wheelchair to get around, and it helps me do so many amazing things every single day.
  • I love puzzles, books and most of all — my friends! They make every day more fun and full of laughs.
  • I’m kind, determined and not afraid to try new things. I do things my way — and that’s what makes me, me.

Otis

Otis The Otter

I’m an otter with a creative mind, a love for the sea and a heart full of kindness.

  • I have Autism, which means I see and experience the world in my own special way. I like routines, calm spaces and things that make sense to me.
  • I have ARFID, which means I can find some foods tricky. I have a safe list of foods that help me feel comfortable and happy.
  • I have Dyslexia, which means reading and spelling can be harder for me — but I have lots of clever ideas and never give up.
  • I love the sea, exploring, collecting treasures and building things. I’m a good friend and I always try my best.

Pip

Pip The Penguin

I’m a penguin with a curious mind, lots of energy and a heart full of kindness.

  • I have ADHD, which means my brain works a little differently. I think fast, get distracted easily and have so many ideas!
  • I can find it tricky to sit still or remember things sometimes, but I try my best and keep learning new ways to help me focus.
  • I love discovering new things, being outdoors, building, creating and making people smile.
  • I may bounce, forget or get overwhelmed at times, but I’m always me — and that’s pretty amazing!

Not all disabilities are visible. Every person deserves patience, understanding and a place to belong. At The SEND Harbour, there's a place for you.
